The ITS is globally proven to optimize the utilization ofexisting transport infrastructure to the best of itscapacity. This helps in improving the transportation system in terms of efficiency, quality, comfort and safety.
Automotive Industry Standard-140 (AIS-140) is a set of standards published by ARAI on behalf of the Automotive Industry Standards Committee under Central Motor Vehicle Rules set-by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), Govt. of India for vehicle tracking system, camera surveillance system,and emergency panic button to be installed in all public service vehicles across India.
